Nomadic Studio collaborated with PIA Agency to create this announcement video for Hewlett Packard and their groundbreaking Metal Jet 3D Printer. With PIA Agency controlling the live shoot and editorial side of the process, Nomadic Studio was tasked with creating the stylistic visuals of 3D metal pieces being formed by the printer. The technical responsibilities of Nomadic Studio included 3D match-moving, rotoscoping, particle simulation, 3D modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, rendering, and compositing. Nomadic Studio tackled all of the 3D in Cinema 4D and rendered with Arnold. PIA Agency stitched together all of Nomadic Studio’s shots with stock footage to create the final video edit for HP. The video supplemented HP’s announcement of their new technology during the 2018 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, IL, and was shared by HP across their social media platforms.
